Paladin IT - Windows: How to set-up terminal server connections

The following steps will create a short-cut to a windows terminal server

From start select Run or for Win7 type directly into the search window, MSTSC and hit enter

Click Option (only if user name filed is hidden or not editable)
In the computer name field type in the public name of your office server server for our clients this is probably oma.yourdomain.com.au where your domain is the domain in you email address e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. would use oma.microsoft.com.au
User name should be your full name with no space e.g. JohnSmith
Click "save as" select Desktop and give it a meaningful name e.g. Connect to Office Server then click save
Close any windows and test the new short cut
